Jessie J considers co-star collaboration

Jessie J would be 'honoured' to collaborate with her The Voice co-stars.
The British songstress is appearing as a judge and mentor on the UK version of the hit talent show alongside will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and The Script's Danny O'Donoghue.
Jessie respects each artist, and would jump at the chance of recording music with any of them.
'Yes, definitely,' she told British magazine more! when asked if she'd want to collaborate.
'Your career is about moments and things that inspire you, and all three of them are amazing artists. I'd be honoured to work with any of them. I'd love to collaborate with Tom especially, and I think that will happen very soon.'
Jessie has revealed which judge she is closest to. The raven-haired star says all three coaches are easy to spend time with.
'Am I allowed to say all of them?' she quipped. 'They're all wonderful. I'm like a sponge around Tom, just soaking up all his timeless energy as an artist. will.i.am and I just really get each other and we're really silly together, but he's serious when he needs to be and I'm the same.
'Danny's just the sweetest guy. He's definitely going to be the heart-throb of the show, I think. Just look at his eyelashes!'

Cocaine recovered in Whitney Houston hotel room

Authorities discovered 'white, powdery remnants' in Whitney Houston's hotel room on the day of her death.
The music icon passed away at the age of 48 in a bathtub at a Beverly Hills hotel room on February 11.
Following toxicology results, officials revealed that Whitney died of drowning, but a sustained use of cocaine also contributed to her death. Blood tests indicated that she used the narcotic 'immediately prior to her collapse.'
Although there were reports that her hotel room was cleaned before law enforcement arrived, TMZ reports that cocaine was in fact found.
Official documents show that police unearthed 'white, powdery remnants' in the room. Sources have informed the website that the powder was subsequently tested and proven to be cocaine.
TMZ claims that the police department will not investigate rumours that someone sanitised the room before their arrival, as they're convinced the substance wasn't disposed of.
Previously, sources involved in the investigation claimed that police found no illicit substances. Several pills were found on the premises though, including prescription drug Xanax, premenstrual relief medicine Midol and pain reliever Ibuprofen.
Authorities are currently in the final stages of their investigation.

Britney Spears' mansion 'total financial loss'

Britney Spears reportedly overpaid on an estate that was 'just languishing on the market.'
The 30-year-old pop star sold her Beverly Hills mansion for $4.3 million.
The opulent property located in the exclusive gated The Summit community is a 9,000 square foot Tuscan villa with six bedrooms, six and a half bathrooms, an oversized gazebo and maids quarters.
Britney originally paid $6.8 million for the property and lost a ton of money in the deal.
'The house had been taken off the market last year after years of just languishing on the market,' a source told Radar Online. 'It became apparent that the house was going to be a total financial loss for Britney as she bought the mansion at the height of the real estate market and simply overpaid.'
Britney's father Jamie currently acts as the singer's court-ordered conservator.
Jamie thought it best to sell the vacant home.
'Britney and her dad realised that they were going to have to drastically slash the price and just unload the house at a loss,' the source explained. 'The house has nothing but bad memories for Britney, and she hasn''t been in it since 2007, it has just been empty for all these years.'
Britney has been under the conservatorship of her father for four years following a very public mental breakdown.
Britney is currently engaged Jason Trawick and is reportedly in talks to become a host on American talent programme the X Factor for $15 million a season.

Cissy Houston: I'm proud of Whitney

Cissy Houston still 'has her moments' of deep sorrow as she mourns her daughter Whitney Houston.
Whitney passed away in a bathtub at her Beverly Hills hotel room on February 11 at the age of 48.
The iconic I Will Always Love you singer officially died by drowning, but authorities revealed that a sustained use of cocaine contributed to her death.
Whitney's mother Cissy admits that the grieving process is challenging.
'I have my moments,' she told MY9 News. 'I'm not there yet. I don't think I'm any more courageous than anyone else. I am a true believer in God, if I could bring her back I would, but that's not possible.'
Blood tests confirmed that Whitney used cocaine minutes before her death.
Cissy is sad that her daughter began using again, but she won't hold herself at fault for her daughter's decision.
'I know I did the best I could,' she explained. 'I don't blame myself. I know I did the best I could for everything.'
Cissy remembers her daughter's achievements, not her adversity.
'I'm very proud of my daughter,' Cissy said. 'She accomplished a whole lot in the short time that she had here . she was a very wonderful person.'
Cissy's full interview will air on 10 O'Clock News on MY9, a New Jersey based news channel, Monday April 2.

Louise Dearman Here Comes The Sun

Louise Dearman faces two major challenges as she continues to build her ‘pop’ career. Firstly, moving from musicals to the charts is not always easy and success is far from guaranteed; just ask Frances Ruffelle. Secondly, Dearman has chosen to release a cover of a Beatles classic as her first single from her latest album.

There can be no beating George Harrison’s original but having said that, the point of a cover is not normally to improve on the original, just provide your own interpretation. And that’s something that Dearman achieves surprisingly well here.

Her career has involved starring and lead roles in the likes of Wicked and Evita and she has recently toured with Lee Mead. He describes her voice as rich and powerful, although here the power is played down for a more plaintive and surprisingly fresh feel on a song also done by the likes of Steve Harley and Nina Simone.

It is the latter’s version that is Dearman’s real benchmark as her forthcoming album sees her take on songs performed by female artists. If this first single is an indication then her takes on the likes of Time After Time and One Day I’ll Fly Away will be quite engaging.

Robbie Williams: I'm going to be a dad

Robbie Williams is to become a father for the first time.
The Take That star has announced he is expecting a child with his wife Ayda Field. Robbie took to his blog to tell fans his news, choosing to do so in an unusual manner.
'Hey friendlies , I've been keeping a secret from you all.me and Ayda are going to be mummy and daddy this year .!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
'We had sex! It works (sic)!' he wrote.
The 38-year-old musician added the whole experience has been an emotional one. He and the actress have already had a scan and Robbie can't wait to meet the tot.
'We've seen scans and cried..
Looked at babies in commercials and teared up...
The nursery is already planned.. Basically i'm in love with a little person growing in mummy's belly.. (sic),' he wrote.
Robbie added that he can't believe how excited he is at the prospect of becoming a father. He ended the post by telling fans he had to sign off as he was crying just thinking about the new arrival.
Robbie and Ayda got married in August 2010, in a lavish ceremony at the singer's home in Los Angeles.

Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg collaborate

Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg team up on new song 'Roll Me Up And Smoke Me When I Die'.

These pot-loving rascals have teamed up before, Nelson appearing on Snoop's Doggumentary track 'Superman'. Snoop appears on a track, and Nelson also has Merle Haggard, Lukas Nelson and Sheryl Crow in as guests.

Snoop said of the collaboration, 'I fell in love with his music as a kid. Willie's got long hair with braids, he likes to do the herbal essence. So it was natural for me and him to come together.'

They join forces on the self-explanatory 'Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die', which was almost destined to be the title track to Willie's new album.

Nelson said: 'We were going to name the album that title, but we decided there might be a couple more conservative outlets out there that wouldn't appreciate it.'

So the album will be titled Heroes and will hit stores on May 14.

Britney Spears 'wants end to conservatorship'

Britney Spears reportedly desires to 'resume control of her life.'

The 30-year-old pop star visited court last week to allegedly seek approval to become a judge on American TV talent competition the X Factor.

Britney's father Jamie has acted as her conservator for four years following the singer's public mental breakdown.

With a wedding to her fiancΓ© Jason Trawick and a potential gig on the X Factor on the horizon, Britney wants the power to make personal and professional decisions without her father's sanction.

'Britney has said that she feels she is ready to resume control of her life," a source told Radar Online. 'She has expressed this sentiment on multiple occasions, but her doctor believes that Britney isn''t ready for the conservatorship to be lifted. She has come a very long way in the last 18 months especially but her team wants more time.'

Although Britney desires independence now, the conservatorship won't be lifted for months.

'It looks like it won''t be ending anytime soon, but Britney feels that she is powerless to fight it,' the source explained. 'She has been on two wildly successful worldwide concert tours, has gotten engaged, and is now in talks to join a major television show, what more does she have to do to prove to people that she is ready to resume control of her life? Britney has been told Jamie''s lawyers could petition the judge for the conservatorship to end later this year, and not anytime sooner."
Britney will reportedly be paid $15 million should she join the X Factor panel.

On February 22, Simon revealed the new judging line-up would be unveiled in a few weeks.

Nicki Minaj album leaks

Nicki Minaj's new album has been leaked online ahead of its official release.
The songstress' record Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded was due to drop next week, but new songs including Roman holiday, Come On A Cone, Roman Holiday and Pound The Alarm, are now available to hear.
Nicki's tracks ' which feature collaborations with Chris Brown, Drake and Lil Wayne ' have emerged on various music and file sharing websites just days before its April 2 launch.
The 29-year-old star has previously gushed about the direction she's taken on the new record.
"I'm not going to break my album down based on percentage of rap and singing. What it is, is amazing music. And what it is, is music that I created and I had a blast making and it's going to be very free and exhilarating,' she explained.
'It's going in a very free, exhilarating direction in terms of me owning who I am and me enjoying the process of making music. I think that when you get the album, you'll feel as if I had absolutely no boundaries.'
Nicki is yet to comment on the album leak.
Meanwhile, the eccentric star ' who is currently focusing on her upcoming UK tour ' has reportedly offered to give Stephen Fry rap lessons.
The British actor posted a link to his version of her hit single Super Bass on Twitter.
Nicki is said to have heard the video and is eager to give the star a few pointers.
"Nicki listened to it after he published it and, although she was pretty impressed with what she heard, she thinks he could do with a few tips,' a source told British newspaper The Sun.
"She's more than happy for Stephen to go along to one of her London shows to go through a few rhymes with him."

Adele furious when recording

Adele was 'ready to murder' when producing her hit album 21.
The British songstress released the award-winning record in early 2011. It is famously based on the star's heart-breaking split from her long-term boyfriend.
Adele teamed up with producer Paul Epworth to create the record and says although she was initially unsure of the collaboration, she was glad the music mogul brought out the best in her raw emotions. She is particularly happy with the way her song Rolling in the Deep worked out.
"I never get angry, but I was ready to murder. I went in crying and stuff, and said, 'Let's write a ballad.' And he was like, 'Absolutely not! I want to write a fierce tune,'' she said in her biography, according to British newspaper The Independent.
"When I'm about to get angry in my heart, I can really feel my blood flowing around my body... And I kept going, 'Feel my heartbeat Paul!'
'And the beat of the song was my heartbeat... It just built and built."
Adele has previously revealed she is grateful for the pain her ex-beau caused her during their break-up, as it inspired some of her greatest work.
The 23-year-old star channeled the heartache she was feeling to create to critically-acclaimed second album.
"He made me an adult. He put me on the road that I'm travelling on," she said.
Adele's new biography is called Someone Like Adele, by Caroline Sanderson.

Rihanna too guilty to take break

Rihanna feels guilty if she stops working for even 'a little bit'.
The Barbados-born singer has released an album every year since 2005, with her last record Talk That Talk coming out in November 2011.
She has also completed world tours, shot a movie and is working on a clothing line.
The 24-year-old loves her job but has come to realise she has to make more time for relaxation going forward.
'I'm very competitive with myself and I take that through my career. I want to get better every time, the next step always has to be upward. I guess I'm relentless in that way when it comes to my work. I don't ever give up and I feel guilty stopping for a little bit. But sometimes it's good to stop,' she told British TV show Daybreak.
Rihanna credits her childhood with her strive for success as an adult. She had a tough time at home as her father was addicted to drugs and alcohol and eventually split from her mother when she was 14.
Looking back, Rihanna thinks she learnt some major life lessons when she was still a child.
'A lot of the reasons why I am what I am in my character has a lot to do with my culture,' she explained. 'My upbringing, I definitely had to learn fast how to ignore things, or not let them bother me. Just accept them for what they are. I think that definitely helped to prepare me for this world.'
The star was quizzed about where she sees herself in five years' time. She has hit the headlines recently thanks to her love life, with claims she was hoping to reunite with her violent ex-boyfriend Chris Brown and was romancing Ashton Kutcher.
The star recently insisted she is single and says the only hopes she has for the coming months are to do with her career.
'God just has a way of working things out the way he wants to and you have no say in that so I don't really know what's in the next five years. The only real plan I have is professional. I'm really looking forward to seeing what life brings to me,' she said.

Lady Gaga 'takes it easy on birthday'

Lady Gaga 'had a blast' on her birthday while spending quality time with her close family and friends.
The pop songstress turned 26 on Wednesday and opted to keep celebrations low-key.
Gaga, who is currently preparing for her upcoming international concert tour, ditched discotheques in favour of a cycling class at the gym with her closest kin.
'She requested [Bruce Springsteen's] Thunder Road [at the gym] because it's one of her favourite songs,' a source told Us Weekly magazine. 'Her friends filled the studio, and they had a blast.'
After breaking a sweat, Gaga dashed back to her abode to eat a home-cooked meal prepared by her mum.
'It was just a small thing with her family,' the source explained. 'Her mother cooked.'
Gaga's schedule has been jam-packed with rehearsals and other tour preparations recently.
The singer was happy to have some downtime on her special day.
'She's been ridiculously busy, and has been working herself very, very hard,' another insider said. 'But everyone had the most amazing time [yesterday]!'
Lady Gaga's Born This Way Ball tour will begin on April 27 in Seoul, South Korea.

Rihanna recalls alien interest

Rihanna spent years of her childhood searching the sky for UFOs.
The singer was born in Barbados and her father, Ronald Fenty, was fascinated with the idea of extra-terrestrials. He encouraged Rihanna to keep a look out in case a spaceship appeared and she prided herself on being vigilant.
'My dad used to make me sit outside on the steps all night long looking for UFOs flying by, and I had to do that for years,' she recalled to British newspaper The Sun.
'I didn''t see any but I saw a falling star once and I was like, ''Yessss, Dad! Come and see, it just darted!''
Aliens are still a big part of Rihanna's life as they have a starring role in Battleship, her first feature film. The movie is about a group of naval officers who battle an other-worldly invasion on earth.
She portrays Petty Officer Cora Raikes, who is tough and determined. Playing such a strong role was thrilling for Rihanna and it reminded her of her time in the Cadet Corps.
She enjoyed training for the organisation before she was famous but can't image what it would be like to do that for a full-time job.
'A soldier? I don''t know. That is, I mean, if I had to I definitely would - I have so much respect for soldiers,' she said.
'They dedicate their lives to saving other lives and saving their countries and a lot of times they don''t even get recognised for it, even when they come back. Sometimes they don''t have a place to go.

Tom Jones to release new album

Tom Jones announces the follow up to 2010's acclaimed collection of songs that was 'Praise and Blame' with the release of 'Spirit In The Room' on 21st May 2012 through Island Records.

'Praise and Blame' saw Tom mark a return to his roots and emerge with a powerful body of work drawn from the American spiritual repertoire. Now moving forward with 'Spirit In The Room', Tom draws on an evocative range of compositions executed with an unprocessed passion that make them his own.

An interpretation of Tom Wait's 'Bad As Me', a wonderful rendition of Odetta's 'Hit Or Miss', the front porch blues of Vera Hall Ward's 'Travelling Shoes' and a stunning reading of the other-worldly 'Charlie Darwin' by Low Anthem all chart his progression.

Ever busy Tom has also graced a recent single on Jack White's Third Man label .
